Question:

Tryouts in 4 days.. serving ?

Everyday for about a week I have been serving my volleyball onto the roof. Since I have been doing that everyday my serve has gotten worse by a long shot. is it because my muscles are tired? Should I take a a day or so break and see? I just feel like all of the sudden my serves suck and my shoulder kills. I kind of need to get to the bottom of this. I have tryouts in 3 days.

  1. I think it might be that your muscles are sore, but it also could be because you're serving too high up. Remember, the best serves always skim the net.

  2. It sounds like you've been working alittle too hard. Your body needs rest. I play volleyball and my coach only let's us workout Monday-Friday so that we can rest on weekends. I would suggest letting your shoulder rest for a few days and remember not to over do it. Good luck with your serves.
