Tsunami Warning!?

they've been putting up Tsunami Hazard zone warning signs around in my city and i was wondering if any other beach communities on the best coast have noticed any of these signs. i live on 12th street, 12 streets away from the beach and im in the hazard zone. is there more probability of tsunamis on the west coast nowadays or is it for legal reasons?

Communities will do anything they can not to get sued lately.

Do you not remember the Christmas 2004 tsunami in Indonesia and surrounding countries?

This is just a civil defense warning system being implemented in case something happens one day, there has been no change to the threat, just an improved (we hope) response system.
