Tsutaya Tpoints, what are they for? (Japan)?

Hi I was just trying to understand the Tsutaya Membership Point System (Tpoints), cause I've been wondering, I am accumulating all these points, and what good are they for? how can I user them? can I get something for them?

I see all the ads, get more points... but for what?! can I get free stuff? please help?

Basically you can use your points as discount voucher

or you can exchange them for products/service.

You can earn/use points not only at TSUTAYA

but at other participating shops or companies (total 48),

such as FamilyMart (convenience store),

Warner Mycal Cinemas(movie theater) etc.

1 point = 1 yen.

Minimum points required at a time depends on a shop/company.

At TSUTAYA, you can use from 1 point as 1 yen.

I looked up the internet but couldn't find a site written in English...
