Hatton pretty much tore up Tzsyu and wore him down. If Tzsyu would have been younger do you think he would have won?

  1. I would have to say it would probably be a very, very close fight. Kostya Tszyu to me was challenging Roy Jones Jr for No 1 p4p at some point between 2000 and 2003 and the fight would of been closer for sure had it been fought a few years earlier with Tszyu maybe even taking it. Does seem to me that Rickys pressure fighting style didnt suit Kostyas A game so i could still see Ricky taking it on points as well. No doubt though that in my eyes we are probably talking about the two best Light-Welters since Chavez so it would be a great fight whenever it took place.

As someone has mentioned above though the same people time and time again on this site bring up Tszyu being over the hill, why would Kostya take the fight unless he thought he would win it. Why do so many on this site try to discredit top class fighters. Have the Ring magazine got it so wrong for years about Hatton, giving him fighter of the year and ranking him the top Light Welter in the world for 3-4 years now.

Seems to me that Fuddstein feels that any fighter that a Brit beats is either over the hill (Hopkins and Castillo), the ref has cheated (Tszyu) or they werent very good anyway (Kessler and Lacy). If you were asking a question about Tszyu beating an American fighter he would be trying to discredit Tszyus achievements because he isnt American, Ridiculous.

  2. There was absolutely no mention of Tzsyu being old or over the hill until after Hatton tore him up. Then everyone jumped on the Tzsyu is over the hill bandwagon.

  3. Listen Ricky Hatton is an OVER-RATED MEDIA CREATED FIGHTER....................................

TZSYU QUITS ON HIS STOOL?- PLEASE I DID'NT BUY IT THEN AND STILL DON'T......................................

TZSYU- THREW THE FIGHT- HE WAS PAID

  4. i think so....

  5. ***who cares Mayweather humiliated him

  6. I can do nothing but co sign Elmers answer....that was everything I could have said...but better put.

  7. Had that fight been in America, Kostya would have won that one fairly easily.  Tszyu made the mistake of allowing the fight to be reffed by Hatton's personal ref Mickey Vann.  We all saw what happened to Hatton when he had to fight without his ref enabling his sloppy style.

If Tszyu has been younger, and in a fairly reffed fight, Hatton would have been knocked out in 5 rounds or less.  Money Mayweather pretty much exposed Hatton as a game, but incomplete and unskilled boxer.
