Do tubas and Baritone horns have the same keys like a trumpet and a baritone horn??

  1. Depends.  Tubas are made in several keys, not just Bb. If you were to play a CC tuba, the fingering system (Based on the overtone series) is different.  You would therefor have to learn the new fingerings.   The Baritone, technically the instrument is a Euphonium can be made in different keys if you order it that way.  Music for baritone is always provided in both treble and bass clef so a band director can take a trumpet player and have him easily learn the music.  Also, the better tubas and euphoniums are made with rotary valves, like the French horn.  This facilitates finger technique and the extra valves offer more finger combinations for better intonation.

    Your basic high school baritone in treble clef has the exact same fingerings as the Bb trumpet. It's really not that difficult to learn bass clef. If you want to become an orchestral player, you will need to do so.. Go for it
