I am really trying to get this math and english but paying for a tudor is so costly are there any suggestions on how I might get this grade to at least a C preferably an A? My brother needs help learning to read - are there tudors for 14-19 year old that are challenged but want to learn?

  1. You're right... tutors are expensive.  Some businesses will charge from as little as $42 an hour up to over $100 an hour!  But here's an idea that helped my daughter.  She struggled in some math, too, and I encouraged her to pair up with a friend in her class who was really good at math.  It worked out great... sure, they socialized a lot, but I can tell that my daughter really learned a lot as well.  Hopefully, you will find someone that would enjoy working with you.  As for reading, I truly believe YOU might be the best tutor for your brother... the library has tons of books, and your brother could read to you.

  2. You can get in touch with the school counselor and request a tutor.   Other students in clubs are involved in tutoring for free of charge.
