Tuition difference Carnegie Mellon In-State?

Carnegie Mellon tuition is about 40,000 per year. If I live in PA, would the in-state thing make a difference? If so, how much?

  1. CMU is private school.  The only difference living in-state would do is if PA gives its residents a scholarship for attending school in PA.  If it does, it would most likely range between 3-5K.  CMU usually gives good scholarships and stuff though, so just apply and see how things go.
