Will other companies pick up left over tuition bills? Say I go to school for 2 years part time while working. My company reimbuses me 14,000 (7,000/year), but my total school costs 80,000. If I leave my company, will another company pick the rest of my bill plus the 14,000 that I will probably have to pay back? Has anyone ever done this?

  1. um..no.

Why?  when you are hired, they hire you with the degree you already have.  Why fork over money for something when you were hired with it already.

  2. depends on the company's police on tuition reimbursment.  but they won't give you the 14k you already had paid by the previous employer.  If a company only pays 5k a year toward tuition then that is all you get regardless of what the previous company paid.  sometimes You may have to work for a certain amount of time before they will pay.  You will have to pay for the classes during that time if you wish to continue going to school and not take a break from school.  and no you wouldn't get the money back.
