Despite Lille OSC’s poor start to the season, the Brazilian forward feels optimistic about the future. De Melo is looking forward to help his side win games, as he commits himself to the French outfit
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lille-OSC-c39800 have been in a slump in the first-half of the season. The Ligue 1 outfit was knocked out from the UEFA Champions League in the group stages and appears to be struggling in the Championnat. Despite the recent setbacks, Lille striker, Tulio de Melo
feels optimistic, and believes that Les Dogues can regain their lost form.
The Brazilian has not been up to expectations this season, as he has failed to score a single goal in the 2012/13 campaign so far. The forward faces stiff competition from Saloman Kalou, Dmitri Payet, Gianni Bruno and Nolan Roux, and needs to improve if
he wants to maintain his place in the starting line-up.
Lille have been struggling to perform lately, as they faced two consecutive defeats at the hands of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127 back in November. The club’s European hopes were also vanquished when they finished at the bottom of their group, loosing
on Champions League and Europa League altogether.
However, the French outfit has improved considerably in their last few games. Lille have remained unbeaten in their last five fixtures, as the team would try and build on their string of improved performances.
De Melo believes that Les Dogues have what it takes to bounce back, and feels that the French outfit would be a rejuvenated side in the second-half of the campaign. The forward feels positive about his own future stating that he’s looking forward to what
remains of the campaign. He said:
"I've bounced back a million times and I will raise my head again. I will be back soon and we will have a great second half of the season."
The Brazilian also denied rumours linking him to a move away from Grand Stade Lille Metropole. The forward insisted that he’s committed to the club, and has no plans to leave the Lille-based club. The 27-year-old stated:
“I don't know what you are talking about, no one has told me. I am under contract until 2014 and I want to help Lille, that's my primary objective."
