  1. Warm (not hot) water, Oxyclean and baby laundry detergent..

In a large tub place warm water, about 2 cups of Oxyclean and a cup of baby laundry detergent mix vigorously to disolve the oxyclean and detergent..  Gently lower dress the tub, gently press down  with your hands to get solution onto every bit of the fabric and eliminate air pockets...  Let dress soak for several hours...

You may need to repeat the process a few times to completely remove discoloration..  If discoloration is stubborn add 1/2 cup Chlorine bleach to mixture... Make sure to mix the bleach in well before adding dress..

Do not rub or scrub vigorously it will damgage the material...   If you have a stubborn spot use a cotton cloth to gently wipe at the spot...

Once you get the discoloration to release air dry the gown hanging upright and loose so the tulle will retain it's fluffiness..

If slight smooshing occures a hair dryer set on medium heat can be used to refluff the material blowing up into the dress...

  2. DONT mess with your dress, take it to a drycleaners and get advice from a professianal you could also try asking in a bridal store

    good luck and congrats

  3. Hi.  Yes, Bride2be is correct.  Most people don't know that you CAN wash a wedding gown using Oxi Clean and Baby Detergent (Dreft).

HOWEVER.....BE CAREFUL!!!  If your gown has any silk in it.....it CANNOT BE WASHED!!!

If you don't know what your dress is made from (material type), it would be best to take it to a dry cleaner for their professional opinion and cleaning.
