The son of Le Vie Dei Colori, out of mare Whipped Queen, made his connections a bit nervous, as his chances didn’t look too promising in the beginning, but jockey Jimmy Fortune worked his magic on the runner and guided him to victory, justifying his
status as race favourite.
The chestnut gelding was up against just two competitors in the even,t and claimed the victory by a margin of two lengths over, Doncaster Rover, whereas the third place was secured by the Ed Vaughan trained Dance And Dance,

"He's a lovely little horse and he handled the ground well."
He further added: "He's done well to carry 9st 10lb, I didn't think the other horse would stay but he did.
"He only ever just does enough. The last day at Windsor it didn't look like he was going to get there and then he won easy."
