Tullna Puma suited by track and trip in Sittingbourne Super Standard
D. Knight’s Hove raider, Tullna Puma, should be suited by the track and trip in Sunday’s Sittingbourne Super Standard. The black dog has registered numerous wins over six bends in the past and, despite the fact that he is competing here for the first time,
one cannot take anything away from him.
His present form is super impressive. Showing great progress, the dashing hound jumped to this class at the end of November, when he defeated Jazz Apollo by three quarters of a length. After striking three excellent wins, he was expected to offer more, but
his winning journey came to a sudden halt on December 13th.
Over a distance of 515 metres, he got crowded very early in the race, and lost considerable amount of his pace. It was almost impossible for him to make an impact after that. Yet, he ran well to share the podium.
Bringing things back to normal, the son of Westmead Hawk demonstrated an amazing show last time out. He started his run from the second stall, and maintained the highest standards. As a result of a fine run, the 3-year-old notched up the first place easily
by one and a quarter lengths.
Winning four of the previous five races shows how good momentum he is in. He is well capable of adjusting his game to the new conditions. Therefore, no one should discredit him just because of lack of a look round.
Among the rivals are: Droopys Danneel, Too Old Todream, Lenson Ginger, Westmead Meteor, and Westmead Comet. The 500 metres flat race will be commenced at 21:02 GMT. The winner of this open race will get a prize of 200 pounds.
Lenson Ginger becomes dangerous when firing on all cylinders. This does not look his day though. Westmead Comet must assert early, or his chance will evaporate. Too Old Todream will be looking for the gaps to appear in the second half. Prior to his shameful
loss on the Boxing Day, the black dog won a similar event here in mid December.
Westmead Meteor is holding his form well at present, but a special effort is needed. On the other hand, the recent trials suggest that all is well for Droopys Danneel following a layoff. But it is hard to trust her blindly.
