The Golden Hurricanes of Tulsa University are scheduled to take on Oklahoma University volleyball squad on Friday, December 2 in the opening round match of 2011 NCAA Division 1 Women’s Volleyball Championship. The two teams share a great rivalry and it seems
like Galen Centre in Los Angeles will turn into a battlefield on Friday. The Hurricanes finished off the regular season with overall record of 27-6, while Sooners of Oklahoma ended up with 21-11. Hence, Tulsa will have the competitive edge in the game and
will surely try to pressurise the opposite side.
Tulsa Hurricane
The Hurricanes will be supported by Junior outside hitter Tyler Henderson, who worked out an amazing strike rate in the regular season. She totalled 553 kills and recorded 4.81 kills per set with an attack percentage of .354. On the whole, she contributed

digs. The Hurricanes also have another big gun in the form of sophomore Kellie Culbertson. She added 291 kills, 30 aces and 373 digs for the team, whereas senior Kelsey Hancock pitched out 198 kills for TU.
This clearly shows that Tulsa will havea very strong offense. With the right combination of players, they will easily manage to down their opponents. Apart from the attackers, Tulsa has very good defenders such as libero Jessica Adams and Jordan Clampitt.
All in all, the Hurricanes have a strong team-line and they are likely to win the match.

Seemingly, Oklahoma is behind Tulsa but the Sooners are ready to stage a great fight on centre court. The players are determined to stay focused on the ball and make a difference in the match.
In other matches, the host of the first round, Southern California, will go up against Yale. The successful teams of Day-1 will advance to the second round of the championship, which will take centre stage on Saturday. Furthermore, the winners of Saturday’s
