  1. It obviously has an electrical fault, so it needs to be serviced immediately. Until it is, you won't be able to use it.

  2. You need to service it immediately

  3. If it is a gas dryer you can try something else in the electric socket to see if it is the house wiring or the dryer.  If it is an electric dryer you will need a professional to check it out.  It could be something was damaged in the dryer when you moved.  I would bet on it being the dryer and have a serviceman check that.  Otherwise you will need an electrician to check out the house wiring.

  4. You either have a bad circut breaker or a bad wire or the dryer is not alone on the circut and is sharing power with something else... it needs to be alone. Never the less you must call a certified electrical person. The repair should not be very costly. Good Luck!

  5. Check the wiring: It may be that your dryer is pulling too much current for what your new house can handle.

    Good luck.

  6. If your dryer worked at your old house then I would suspect your wiring and circuit breaker is not rated for the dryer. Most electric dryers require a 30 amp breaker and larger wires to handle the increased current. If your breaker keeps tripping then you really need to call a licensed electrician to check your wiring and circuit breaker. If you continue to reset the tripped breaker then you are running a risk of an electrical fire.

If the electrical wiring and circuit breaker check out good then have the dryer serviced, it may have been damaged during the move to your new house.

  7. Agreed with the above comment, it needs servicing ASAP. Normally if it was a fault with the tumble drier the appliance would trip put as apose to the consumer unit (fuse box).

Perhaps it is a defective fuse in the consumer unit. I wouldn't recomend investigating the problem yourself, i would seek help from a qualified electrician or someone who is competant and safe.
