i've been tumbling for two years and i have my roundoff handspring. when i do it though i go just a little too high in my back handspring and my rebound isnt that high. i cant go any farther in tumbling if i dont fix this because my rebound isnt high enough and i go forward a little bit. and i have my standing tuck and round off tuck so after i fix this it should be alot easier. do you know what i can do to fix it??

  1. You need to work on lengthening your back handspring. Try doing standing back handsprings, with a marker on the floor where your hands should reach the ground. This visual aid should help. Also, when doing a back handspring from a round-off, keep your weight back and don't bend your knees, this will give you the reach and rebound you need.

    Hope this helps :)

  2. lock your arms for your back handspring lock every part of your body i was in tumbling truse me i know what happens if you go to low or high, if you go to low you will fall or if you go to high your legs are harder to bring over.now your roundoff

    kick your legs some more and land strait!!!!!!??????!!!!!

    I HOPE THAT HELPS!=)

  3. when you go to do your backhandspring, your jumping to far up and not enough back. if you go a little more back then you wont be as high. believe me, i am a level 5 cheerleader and i used to have the same problem!

    hope i helped!

    (:

  4. when you do your back handspring, jump back instead of up. practice this by doing standing back handsprings and try making them as long as possible. that should help your height problem. and when you land from a long back handspring it should be easier to rebound. good luck
