should i serve tuna steaks with a red or a white wine?

  2. Red wine goes very well with tuna steaks as they are very meaty

  3. Either. Depends on what you are in the mood for! Tuna has a meaty flavour and pairs really well with red.

  5. Red would be most common. It really depends on the recipe. Some spices (like basil) go very well with white. Most sweeteners go well with white as well. Now paprika for example, goes well with red. It all depends on the recipe.

  6. Normally, I say white wine with fish, but tuna steaks are very hearty, with a similar texture to steak:)  So, I'd think it might depend on how you're preparing them.  If it's a light, citrusy marinade, then white would be nice.  Lots of herbs or a heartier marinade, and I'd go with red.....
