I already got my 2007 tax returns done! But, i am applying for financial aid at my school, and they're asking for my tax returns and w2s...but when i showed the print out i got from turbo tax after i was done filing it, they said they cant use it. They asked me to go to the turbotax website and print out the 1040 form..like the all numbered and page numbered form that you usually receive when filing with a tax return agent. I went to the site and didnt find anything that gives me that option. What should i do?

  1. Contact IRS at 1-800-829-0922 or 1-800-829-1040 and request a transcript for 2007, or download form 4506-T and mail/fax.

THERE is other options on how to obtain the transcript on the IRS website .  The transcript is acceptable for Financial Aid. They want proof of income and proof that a return was filed and accepted by IRS

You can also go to the local IRS office and request the transcript which will be provided while you wait.

  2. turbo tax does it. I printed them out.

    1. log in

2.choose print return on left side

    3. in middle of screen says view return

    4. left cornor upper use print button

  3. Perhaps you could contact the IRS and they would have the necessary files on hand.

For financial aid assistance (I assume you're using FAFSA), you shoud only need your gross income and taxable income info, etc., so it sholdn't be too hard to get the info.

Best of luck to you : )

  4. You should still have the W-2s.  You can call Customer Support at Turbo Tax and they should be able to help you with a copy of the return.
