  1. Turkey used to be really cheap but from my customers coming back this year it seems they have cottoned on to the market and put their prices up. By all accounts taxis can cost about 35 lira, a good meal could cost you about the 20 to 25 lira. Best to get the local buses where you can as these are still cheap.

Hisaronu is a beautiful area in Turkey and I am sure that you will have a great time but I would budget for your holiday as if you were going to spain to make sure that you dint run out.

This information is from people who have returned within the last 2 weeks.

    Have a lovely holiday.

  2. Lira not Euros though all hard currency will be accepted in touristy places. Change your money in Turkey, not UK, you get a better rate. UK bank credit/debit cards can be used in cashpoints.

Snack lunch for under 10ytl (£4)

    3 course dinner approx. 25 ytl (£10-12)

    Excursions (?) 50ytl (£20+)

Alcoholic drinks (bar/restaurant prices) - beer approx 4ytl (under £2), wine (per glass) approx 6ytl (under £3)

Shopping - generally bargains to be had especially textiles, leather, jewellery etc. What you spend depends on you.

  3. hisaronu and Ole Deniz are stunning parts of Turkey with lots to do. You can go jeep safaris, do a tandem para-glide from Baba Dag which is pretty high up and you land on the beach at Ole deniz, it will give you the thrill of a lifetime. Boat trips inexpensive, scuba diving. the list is endless.

If you go into a restaurant or bar ask for the local equivalent of a drink rather than buy brand names this will keep your costs down. But5 although prices rising still a cheap place to holiday and always very cheap eating places if you go of the beaten track. Have fun
