The newly appointed coach dismissed Real Madrid’s explanations for Nuri Sahin’s absence from first team squad and believes he has gotten over his injury problems.
Since his arrival at the Spanish club, Nuri Sahin’s absence from the Real Madrid first team has often been highlighted by the media.
A lot was expected of the diminutive midfielder as he made a much awaited 13 million Euros transfer from Borussia Dortmund. However, the Turkish international has been plagued by injuries and only became available for selection at the start of November.

Avci reflected that the 23-year-old midfielder is enthusiastic about his future with Real Madrid and has prime physical fitness.
Continuing on the topic, he opined that staying with the Spanish giants is important for Sahin, who can learn under Jose Mourinho and the talented individuals in Los Blancos roster.
"Still, he feels great; he is in excellent physical condition. Also bear in mind that we are speaking about Madrid, the best team in the world.”
"I am sure this season will not end without seeing more of Nuri at Madrid but if something were not to happen, even training in Madrid and being at the club so young is very important."
Avci also pleaded the media and said that that they should give the Ludenscheid-born player more time to settle in the Spanish capital. He explained that Jose Mourinho added the former Borussia Dortmund star to the ranks of Real Madrid for a period
of five years and a hasty judgement on his abilities will be a mistake.
