Turkey vs. Belarus – 2011 CEV Volleyball European League - Match preview
The opening match between Men’s Volleyball Teams from Turkey and Belarus is only a few hours away as the two meet in the 2011 CEV Volleyball European League. The Turkish and Belarusian squads are two prominent members of the 12-team grid playing in the tournament.
Teams have been placed into three pools, while Turkey and Belarus are tagged as Pool C teams along with Romania and Slovakia.
Romania and Slovakia broke the ice in Pool C by playing their first match on Friday, May 27. Likewise, the teams from Turkey and Belarus will take to the courts for the first time today. The Turkish capital city of Ankara will be the home of action as the
splendid Baskent Sports Hall is scheduled to host the match. The Turkish Volleyball Federation (TVF) has set up excellent arrangements for the European League matches. In this regard, the general Technical Meeting of TVF was held at the Ramada Plaza hotel
on Friday. The Confederation European de Volleyball (CEV) Supervisor, Francesco D’Alo and senior officials of the Turkish Volleyball Federation discussed all matters of business related to the upcoming games in Turkey.
Turkish squad will clash with Team Belarus at 17:00 local time. The head coach of Turkish Men’s National Volleyball Team, Veljko Basic, has assembled a great team with the best players from all across the country. The team-roster is as followed:

The home team will enjoy certain advantages over the visiting team. Turkey has been known for passionate volleyball fans and the Baskent Sports Hall is always a hot sale when it comes to volleyball campaigns. It is likely that good number of local fans will
show up at the arena to back-up their team. It will definitely serve as a competitive edge for Turkey. Belarusians will have to come up with an excellent plan, in order to overcome the power of the hosts.
