  1. It was great to see Lewis Hamilton in second place but it would have been interesting to see what would have happened if he had been in pole position. The use of soft and hard tyres appears to be vitally important. I feel Ferrari have a little more pace than MacLaren.

  2. I thought it was quite a good race, what with Heikki battling his way back up, there were plenty of overtakes in the twisty bits.  Was good to see a mix with different strategies at the front, stopped it just being a procession.

I liked the new thermal imaging camera and the onboard shot of the safety car.

Just wish dumbo would stop calling Hamilton Senna esque, even though he raced quite well, the only thing Senna esque about him is the helmet

  3. it was nice and i think Turkey deserves such a grand prix to be held in there

  4. A great race won from the start really.  I even enjoyed watching Kimi get beat by Hamilton and his 3 stop strategy.  I can't see him winning the championship (thank god) but at least McLaren made a race of it this time!!!!!

  5. Agonizing. I already expected Massa to win this definitely. But Hamilton was in second just 0.4s ahead of Kimi. Ouch..... But at least this time DC made his way around the track without accidents. Too bad that Heikki had to make a very early pit stop though.

  6. IMO it really was a good race. Nobody can say there is no overtaking in F1 now lol. Lewis put a move on Felipe, Kimi just powered passed Fernando, Piquet battling with Bourdais, I love this track. I felt gutted for Heikki but he didn't give up did he, even getting up to 8th before that last pit stop with only 7 laps to go. DC didn't hit anything this time either although Fisichella must have been thinking of taking flying lessons!

I did notice a few of the drivers seemed not to be  in full control when they were coming into the pits, at one point I thought Kimi was going to lose it. maybe it was just the camera angles.

Anyway, Big congrats to Felipe - 3rd successive win in Turkey.

Oh I almost forgot - Rubins - 257 starts, well done

  7. great peformance from lewis hamilton. it was a shame heikki had a puncture and theres wasnt alot of crashes

  8. I miss Super Aguri.

Lewis did a h**l of a race, Heikki also fought hard but was unlucky with that tire puncture at the start. I think Kimi also could have done better but i think he damaged his wing, plus he had a dodgy gearbox on friday and he's using his engine on it's second race so i think he held back a little bit, but he's still at the top of the championship.

  9. Massa, Hamilton and Heidfeld all drove like it was the 80's! Its pretty sad how excited we get when there are a couple of overtaking moves now, when they were once ten a penny. (sigh)

Special well done to Heikki for getting on with it and doing a great job. Well done blondie!

Raikkonen couldn't have been anymore anonymous, could he look anymore desperate to get out of the post race conference??

All in all,  a vast improvement on Spain, that's for sure.

Here's hoping for a wet race soon please!

  10. Massa, Hamilton, Heidfeld, Alonso drove well.

    Raikkonen slightly disappointing.

Coulthard finished 9th like I said he would.

    Piquet and Fisichella very disappointing.

  11. There were some good battles and it was very refreshing to watch a race on a track were overtaking is possible, especially after Barcelona which, together with Monaco and Hungary, is the worst place as far as overtaking is concerned.

Nice to see Vettel actually finishing a race and Coulthard not touching anybody.

Both had their first good qualifying performances of the year and it showed, they managed to stay out of harm's way.

Many drivers battling hard to get into the points but there don't seem to be enough of them for everybody.

Lewis did a fine job and so did Massa.

Kubica had the sort of lonely race Heidfeld had been accustomed to last year although he, again, pushed as hard as possible.

From a spectators point of view, Heikki put on a great show.

  12. Heikki Kovalainen, impressive!!!

  13. tedious.
