Turkish armenian living in lebanon to be sent to turkey for military service?

my cousins father was born in turkey and only holds turkish citizenship but he lives in lebanon his sons are almost 18 years old and they have to go to tukey for military service they dont want to. turkey is the enemy is there anything they can do?

can they go to the armenian embassy and ask for political assylum ? tell the embassy that they are armenian and do not want to be traitors to armenia by being forcefully drafted into the enemies army and get some sort of asylum in armenia???

p.s the boys also hold only turkish citizenship

  1. Seek political asylum in order to be safe.


  2. This is a very emotionally sensitive topic, on many levels, though asylum may not be a viable solutio.  It would not hurt though, to open a dialogue with a political officer from the Armenian Embassy Beirut:
