does the father of the bride "give" the bride away at the start of the cermony. thanks

  1. No there's no such  tradition.Only,she kisses hands and leave the house.Bride and groom walks together.Traditionally, bride on horseback, groom in front of the horse.But for today,they go together at backseat :)

    And for the ceremony no one gives bride.They walk together.

  3. If there is a civil ceremony in a "Nikah Salonu" or elsewhere you can adapt the ceremony to suit your own preference.

    It is usual for the bride and groom to enter together for the ceremony but I have seen the bride coming in on the arm of her father (or anyone else nominated) and the groom greeting her on the dais.

    It is up to the participants.
