Turn Panasonic Sc-pt950 DVD player/home theater multi-regional?

I have a Panasonic Sc-pt950 DVD player/home theater and I bought a british dvd and I want to watch it on my surround sound, however, because it's in 'usa' format I cannot. SO, I was looking online for a code to switch it to multi-regional, if not what is the best ripper software you know to convert it and reburn it?

The region code is easy to take care of by ripping the movie, making it all regions and reburning it. But you have a second problem which is not as easy to fix. Your British DVD is in the PAL format therefore incompatible with your NTSC system.

It is a multi-format, multi-region player. This one is also an up-converter which is great if you have an HD tv. This is a very high quality machine at a very reasonable price.

I have one because I get a lot of movies sent to me from Europe, movies that don't come out here at all. But if this is the only European movie you intend to ever buy, it may not be worth it.
