  1. He's probably disconnected the igniter switch which is activated by the clutch allowing the truck to start.........OR.........it's malfunctioning and he found out by mistake................

It should be fixed because it's a safety measure to make sure the vehicle wont start by a child, etc.

  2. Most cars and trucks made in the last 20 years won't start unless the clutch is depressed. It keeps you from starting in gear.

  3. Its not what he does, its what the truck is made to do. There is no secert to it.

  4. He by-passed the safety switch which is very dangerous.....

  5. I say it's possible. Older/Asian models have no clutch safety switch. You can do the same, but make sure you confirm the gear is in neutral before starting.

  6. There could be many possible solutions for this scenario.

    1. The clutch pedal may not have touched the floor point

    2. He could have already used the clutch

    3. The transmission system could be custom

This is difficult to explain, but he may not have needed the clutch up, because once the car is moving, it won't neccercerily stop if there is adequote gas prior to engaging the clutch pedal, and the car would be free-wheeling perhaps.
