i have the lg shine phone and a memory chip/computer sd card adapter for it. is there any way to turn a song i already own into a ringtone and transfer it to my phone (for free)? or is there any way to download a ringtone from one of those free sites and copy it to my phone. **i don't have a data plan, so downloading straight from the internet to my phone would not be free.

  1. basically if you can't download from the internet on your phone you'd need to have a data cable and the lg program to transfer data from your computer to the phone. then you can go to cellsea.com and join and create ringtones from songs you already have. you can also browse through other ringtones and download them. basically, if you don't have the data cable and lg program then this would not be free either but it would end up being cheaper in the long run. it only cost me like $5 for a cable and the program was free but I have a samsung sync so i'm not sure if you have to pay for the lg program or not. i know you have to pay to get the motorola one though but i'm not sure about lg. hope this works out for you.

  2. www.myxertones.com

    or just

    www.myxer.com

its great! you can pick what ever song u want and use it as a ring tone even chose what part u want and everything

  3. for some phones you have to unlock the phone to get ring tones that you made on your computer

  4. use a cable and shorten the mp3 file. Some phones disable the option to use as a ringtone if its more than 300kb or 30 seconds. You can go to the free site Ventones

to upload the mp3 file and convert it into a ringtone for FREE
