Turn off button on palm centro?

Question

Sometimes i'm not able to turn my centro off when i press the turn off button. It usually happens after i send a txt. Is that normal?? is there anyway to solve this issue?? I try pressing the button and my centro wont turn off ( by that i mean the screen wont turn off). After a minute or two, i'm able to turn it off normally.

That has seems to be the problem on many palm phones as well as mine.
