The turn signals on my car are not working. The hazard lights are working. I think I need to replace the flasher? Is that expensive to do? A mechanic I talked to on the phone mentioned replacing the arm possibly. Btw-It did rain alot here last night.

  1. flasher  or module . no matter how expensive they need to be fixed.

  2. check your.fuses,"stop/turn" fuse is the one, if it is ok then with ignition "on" slowly work the turn signal arm till it clicks to see if there is any reaction  at all, if none then check the flasher for turn signals, the emergency flasher is separate from directional flasher. Both flashers are located in the same area under the dash so turn on emergency flasher and follow the clicking noise, put you finger on the flasher and feel the click, the flasher is usually round about the same diameter as a half dollar coin or black and square about 1 inch square. replace if necessary with heavy duty flasher and you should be fine, now the expensive repair if required is replace the arm for the turn signals but without seeing the vehicle these are just a mechanic's trouble shooting tips

  3. Most likely the flasher module is bad. I replace alot of them on these cars. The flasher is a hazard/turn flasher and is actually the hazard flasher button you press to make them work in the dash as this makes the turn signals flash as well.
