Sounded like gunfire! Immediately turned off the burner, checked all connections, didn't see anything wrong. Tried to turn the burner back on, now it's ok. What WAS that??

  1. Turn the burner you were using up till it starts to turn red. There will probably be a spot on the burner that looks red er/hotter than the rest of the burner. That is where it will burn out.Do not use it because it can get hot enough to melt a hole in your pot.Just go buy one if what I said is correct.

  2. Do you use aluminum foil under the burners the foil could have touched something.

  3. Your element which is what you actually set your pots and pans on to cook has become wore out where it connects under the top..You can buy a new one cheap slide this one out and the new one in..simple..it will totally fry soon..no danger it will just burn in half and not work then
