Turner Motorsports hire Blake Feese to enhance their line-up – NASCAR Update
Turner Motorsports have announced Blake Feese as an addition to their 2011 line-up of the NASCAR Camping World Trucks Series on Thursday, April 22.
Feese, a native to Saybrook, Illinois, will be joining Mark Martin, Ricky Carmichael, James Buescher and Brad Sweet as team-mates in the Trucks Series. He will appear for the limited race schedule, sharing No. 32 Chevrolet truck with his fellows.
On being selected in the team, Feese said, "I'm very happy to be joining the Turner Motorsports team and am excited about running in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series again with great teammates like Ricky Carmichael and James Buescher."
Earlier in the start of this season, the team introduced No. 32 with the Great Clip sponsorship, as their third team in the Trucks series. Previously, they were operating with only two teams, which consisted of the No. 31 and No. 4.
The No. 32 was planned to run with multiple drivers that include Brad Sweet, Jason Leffler, and Justin Allgaier. Now the team has added Feese also, as another driver into their squad for the team.
Sweet has appeared as the side’s main face in the four races at the Trucks Series so far. Feese will drive the truck in the mid-season, as his debut with Turner Motorsports will be at Nashville, on July 22.
Feese added, "I want to thank Mr. Turner for this opportunity. No one could be more excited about being a part of this great organization than I am right now."
The 29-year-old driver made his stock car racing debut in the Automobile Racing Club of America series in 2003, when he signed for a two-race schedule with Hendrick Motorsports. He moved to NASCAR later in 2004, making his first appearance in the Nationwide
Series race at the Kentucky speedway, fielding the No. 87 Chevrolet for NEMCO Motorsports.
Feese competed in seven events in his first season. He is a veteran at the Nashville Superspeedway track, where won his first race for Hendrick Motorsport, in 2004. In the very next year, he made his debut in the Trucks Series but for just one race, when
he also ran in the Nationwide Series for six races. After his first two years at NASCAR, he remained absent for almost four years but continued his career at the ARCA Series.
In 2009, he returned to NASCAR for his second race in the Truck Series. The race was again held at the Nashville Superspeedway, where he fielded the No. 15 truck for Billy Ballew Motorsports. He started the race at the 18th spot and finished on
the 12th place.
The racecar driver is now returning to NASCAR again, after a two-year break at the same venue. This is a great opportunity for him to establish his career, as the driver has enough experience under his belt. Fesse has himself realised the importance of having
this chance and the ARCA veteran will be looking to make a strong comeback on the NASCAR track.
