Turning 18??

Question

I turn 18 on September 30th of this year. Would I be able to search and sign for an apartment before that date? Seeing as how I'm so close to being 18, could I possibly move out before my birthday??

They (individual apartment managers) will likely let you look but they are not going to allow you to sign anything until you are legal. Depending on how vacancy rates are in your area they may hold a unit for you.  Or they may tell you they will hold one but do not.  Without a signed contract you can not hold them to their word anymore than they can hold you.  It is unlikely for them to allow you to move in without an adults signature.  Do you know someone who will sign for you?

The only way that can happen is if you get your parents to co sign. i turned 18 last september and i bought  a house and there wasnt anyway for me to put anything in my name since i wasnt 18 yet...even though it was august. and i rent out rooms to other people and if they are under 18 i need a parent to co sign because they aren't an adult yet and its harder for me to gt them to take responibility for damage.

It depends on where you live. Check your city regulations.

It also depends on the apartment rules.

I'd say probably so, but it might be tough getting the place.

Yes,you can even move out at 16 and up into a house if your rich enough (liek meh) and go get humped at the pump for your bday with champain-shampoo =D
