  1. I'm 22, I'm a registered radiologic technologist.  Its a GREAT career-- for any age!  I went to a private hospital college, low cost and took me 2 years straight through summer and all.  My clinical training was included in that during the week.  Homework load was light and very manageable.  My hospital even offered a job as a student technologist to help earn money and gain experience.  We had some 45+ students in years previous.  Good luck, its great money and less than 3 years of school!

  2. I would start as a CNA. Its about a 6 week course. Also, why were you talked out of LPN school?

  3. Wow, I was in the same predicament myself...but I'll be 50 in 2 years!! LOL!

I am taking a position with an insurance company's call center for healthcare benefits..I am still in the 'medical field' so-to-speak but I have regular hours, weekends off, holidays off...none of the back breaking work doing the clinical end of things.

Nursing school is no picnic and I just don't know if that would be good at 'our age'!! LOL!

I am also a Medical Assistant but like I said, I just don't want anything to do with clinical anymore...

    Good luck!

  4. If you are good with math & science you might want to think about medical technology.  It's not as physical as nursing is but there is a large demand for them. Also check out office type jobs or x-ray technicians. Good Luck!
