Turning a duplex a single family house??

I am thinking about buying a small duplex, i am wondering if turing it into a single family house is worth.

It really depends on what you want to do with it.  If you were renting it out, you would have two incomes on the same property.  If you were to turn it into one home for personal use, you would have to look at the layout.  Usually they are two stories that are mirror images.  Stairs and kitchens are tough to merge.  If you were looking for a flip, start with a single family home or condo.
