What happens if you accidentally turn left on a red arrow, assuming there is a camera? Is it just a ticket, or do you get summoned to court? How many points do you lose? Are you asked to take a driving course? Anybody been in this situation?

  1. 1. you will get a ticket for sure........

    2. points are from 2 to 4.........

  2. You get the ticket for maybe 40 or 50 bucks since all the camera can see is the license plate the ticket is sent to the owner of the car and their license can't have the points be put on it because there is no proof that it is them driving. so you should be good as far as points and traffic court go

  3. Well, I'm living in MN again and we're not a points system here.  Usually, if you're caught you'll have a fine to pay, but if it's a 2nd or 3rd offense you may have to go to traffic school.  If this has occurred after a previous suspension or revocation of your license, you may have to appear in court.  Refer to your driver's safety manual for specific laws in your state, or look your states dmv website for this information.
