Turning off green colour and 'error on page'?

Question

Everyone in this forum tells me that I can turn off the ghastly green colour on the yahoo uk browser page by clicking on the ‘turn off....’ command at the bottom of the BT advertisement. However, the BT advert does not appear on my IE (it does on Firefox). At the bottom of the screen there is an explanation mark and message saying there is an error on the page. When I double click on this, I get the following message: “Problems with this Web page might prevent it from being displayed properly or functioning properly. Details: Line - 355 Char - 41 Error - Object doesn’t support this property or method Code – 0 URL - http://uk.yahoo.com/”

Does anyone know what I need to do to correct this error? I am not particularly keen to see the BT advert, but I would like to turn off the sickly green colour covering the browser page.

funny but mine doesnt say c**p about anything on bottom,i'm on firefox IE was to slow.Everybody I know is stuck with the green color.
