Turning off my lcd tv completely?

when i finish viewing, i press the standby button then turn the mains off almost instantly. will this do it any harm?? i know it has got standby mode but i'm trying to save energy. is it ok to turn mains off immediately after standby?

Is fine - we turn ours off at the plug every night!

You won't do it any harm.  The only problem with not using standby is that the electronic programme guide doesn't get updated.
