Turning on/off the light on my fish tank....?

At night I feel bad when I cut off the light on the fish tank when we go to bed... like I am shutting everything down when they are swimming around. Do they prefer the lights out at night or should I leave them on all night?

its no big deal you can leave it on or off it makes no difference

i tend to leave mine on during the day and off at night

fish need dark too, its part of their natural environment. its not going to hurt them. it may freak them out a bit just cuz its bright to dark in an instant but they get used to it

They will be fine with the lights out at night usually fish always panick for awhile then they get use to it .

lol your kinda dumb eh...

you gotta turn off the lights so they can sleep cause they dont have eyelids so there cant be any light around when they sleep.
