Question:

Turnout help ......anyone got their turnout to 180 deg yet??

help with stretches and etc, and if this will help my extensions.

  1. A sure fire way of working your turnout is just to focus on plies. Just make sure that you are opening up your hips and not pushing with your knees.


  2. Do not force your knees - your turnout is what it is. The shape of your hip bones dictates it, and there's no point trying to shove it further than it will go. Always work it as far as it will go, though.

  3. Get 2 twist boards and stand on them with your feet parallel and only use your turn out muscles to move your feet to first

    Repeat loads of times every day and you should see a big difference  

    You can get a twist board from any sport store or department stores, sometimes even discount stores have them too or ebay is where i got mine. but remember you need 2 or its just pointless
