Turntable Sound?

Obviously, my Numark TTUSB Turntable doesnt have speakers so the only way I can hear the record playing is by having it hooked up to my computer and having it being played through Audacity. What is something that I can buy that will allow me to hear sound from my turntable?

My turntable has an RCA PHONE and an RCA LINE with a switch letting me choose whichever one I want, either PHONE or LINE. The cord has 1White and 1Red Audio Cable connected to it.

I looked up your turntable.  It has in internal preamp (and I assume is has RIAA equalization internally), so the preamp outputs could be connected to line-level inputs of your stereo.

Personally, I would prefer to play a record into the computer once, clean it up, and either write a collection of them to an audio CD or export them as MP3 files to a MP3 player (IPOD or other) which can also be connected to your stereo.  Every time you play a record, it contributes just a little wear on the recording and it gets a little noisier.  It is best not to play or handle the original recordings more than you have to.

If your stereo has a phono input, you can hook the RCA Phone jacks to the corresponding input. DO NOT HOOK A LINE OUTPUT TO A PHONO INPUT!!!

Otherwise, hook the RCA line output to your home stereo (or any other) AUX jack. You can even use a TV set to play back.
