  1. if it has flipper like legs put it in water and give it some insects or worms found in your garden but wash them first them release the turtle to a nearby creek or river. if it has stumpy legs give it washed veges and then release it to nearby woods. DO NOT KEEP THE TURTLE!!!!

  2. feed him lettuce and feeder fish which is like minnows that you put in his tank. I would suggest putting him back, because wild turtles don't adapt well to captivity. If they don't adapt then they won't eat and they will die.

It's probably a female finding warm soil to lay her eggs. If you don't want to deal with a dead turtle or up to 12 ( the most turtle eggs I've ever seen laid) turtle eggs , which are very hard work, he let her go.

Really if you keep her you would be killing a mother and her babies ( trying not to sound too harsh ) please let her go.

  3. I'm glad to hear that you are going to release it after "rescuing" it from the wild. Baby turtles are carnivores and like earthworms, fishes, and soft-bodied insects. When you can't get live food, liver is good.

  4. ya klittle peices of shiken and worms and crikets and mean=lworms

  5. depends wat type of turtle ^_^ but i feed my turtle(sandy type) cabbage and some leafy vegetables. I fed my old turtle (water type) small raw fish!

  6. You can't go wrong with meal worms (most local pet shops carry them in various sizes) for baby turtles.  Once they're bigger, earth worms & minnows go well.  You can also get floating turtle/reptile food at pet shops.

Do some on line research to help identify the species of turtle.  Sliders are the most common in many areas.  You might even take it into the pet shop with you (one that has some reptiles as well) and get a wealth of information from them on species, care, feeding and local laws governing the housing of wild species.   Because turtles carry salmanilla, some states won't allow them to be sold.

  7. What kind of turtle is it? It is probably a female and she was looking for a place to lay her eggs. The best thing you can do is to take her back to where you found her and put her on the side of the road that she was heading for.Put her in the grass and watch that she goes towards wherever she was headed. If you're determined to keep it,then please post a  pic so we can tell you what kind it is and how to care for it.

  8. Does It have red little circles near the back of its head?????

If it does then you can look up on amazon and ebay........

  9. cabbage

  10. please just return the turtle in the area you found it.  in some states it is against the law to kidnap wildlife. you cannot possibly feed a turtle when you don't know what it is.  always wash your hands after you have handled any reptile.
