  1. you could take them someplace everyday that would be fun for them (depending on their age) and while your doing whatever your doing you can point things out and tell them what it is called in english. You should repeat it to them a few times then take a picture of it (do this for more than one thing) then through the day show them the picture again at random times and quiz them on what it is called. Keep the pictures and keep on doing that the whole time you are teaching tem then as like a final test you can have the pictures printed on paper and see how many they get right out of how many they try (like those multiplication cards from elementary school) and they can have a competition or give them rewards for how many they get correct.

    Good luck!

  2. First of all, take a deep breath.  I am an ESL teacher.  They will get it.  How old are they?  Are they completely non-speakers?  If they have a little knowledge of English, you can do a dialogue journal.  That is where you basically write letters back and forth in a notebook, in which you lead the conversation to expand their language.  Try to find books with lots of pictures and easy text.  It will depend on their ages of course, but there are lots picture books out there.  Talk to them in English as much as possible.

  3. I don't understand how you got that job if you "have NO IDEA where to begin."

Start with basic vocabulary like colors, animals, numbers, occupations, verbs... Illustrations would be very useful!!!

Then run to the bookstore/library and pick a book to use it as reference/guide.

Think about what you learned when your were their age, find out their preferences to keep them interested, and please: Don't make them feel stupid.
