  1. aww bless u

  2. It's natural to feel sad when someone fictional dies; that's a hallmark of good writing and good acting.  Particularly in soap operas, the goal is to get viewers emotionally invested in the characters, because we see them every day.  Even though they aren't real, we see their lives play out on screen and we care about what happens to them.

Most soap actors make personal appearances, either as part of a large event or on their own at random places around the country.  If you Google the actor's name, you might come across a personal or fan-created website with information about how to contact them and if they'll be making any personal appearances in the near future.

  3. in the USA the soaps have individual show or network events for fans and soap actors to meet-I have gone to a few-one for GH and one for GL -  both were very enjoyable and I got to meet and have my picture taken with my favorite actors/actresses. And I have gone to events for individual actors for fans to meet them. One tv network (ABC) has a Huge event at Disney World every yr for all 3 of their soaps but that is Very crowded and I haven't gone to that.

About Soap characters dying/leaving- yes I have cried when that has happened and I am an adult and have watched soaps for over 35 yrs. It's easy to get attached  to a character/actor. The ones I have met appreciate the fans and were easy to talk to.
