Tv combie video tape stuck?

Question

have a tv video combi in my daughters room that has tape stuck.when u press eject tape comes half way out then goes back in and plays again.any ideas on how to get it out or if it is worth fixing

when it gets as far out as it does unplug it from the wall then try to prize it out with a flat head screwdriver?

Only a suggestion, i havnt tried it or anything
