Tv doesnt turn/swith on

Question

Whilst watching, the tv made a reasonabe click sound and the image became hazy. Much later in the day it went dead. There is no image and sound. the tv doesnt just switch on. While attempting to turn it on all the time, the power light turns to green from red then there is is this click sound ( this times the sound is compartivley smaller) and then switches off again to red.
We brought the product only three years ago. Please can u say what the problem is. Its a nightmare without the tv.
