I assume you want surround sound while channel surfing.  You'll never get Surround Sound from Cable.  Unless you have satelite or digital cable, it looks like you're stuck with TV sound.

OR.. if you have a VCR, or DVD player with a built in tuner and a coax jack on the back, you can run your cable through the unit, and run audio out to your receiver.

If you have a cable box or satelite receiver, connect audio to your receiver.  Video to TV
