Tv not playing sound on my surround system

Question

My prima LC-4727 LCD TV is connected to a Matrix MX-6160T speaker system, i had it working in my old apartment but since i have moved it the television doesn't play through the external speakers. My x-box is hooked up to the Matrix system too and it works fine, as does the television i have tried using different input plugs on the matrix system and cycling the power to both units, i need help.
