Tv powers off after 15 mins to 2 hours

Question

tv runs for 15 mins,sometimes 2 hours then shuts itself off.
it tries to power back on by itself, two or three times.
once it sits or cools off, It will then power back on.
then it does the samething over
when it is on the picture and sound are great.
