Tv turns on and turns off after 5 seconds

Question

I have a sharp tv 32u-s60b.The tv turns on with no picture,no sound,turns of after 5 seconds.The only noise I here is clicking noise of it turning itself on/off.Half of the power cable was cut.Maybe it has a short circuit.I want to know if the tv has switch or other electronic part that protects the mainboard.I fixed the cable and checked the fuse the fuse is not cut.For that reason I think the fuse is ok.I turned it on. That whats happening with the tv.HELP PLEASE !!!                                                      THANKYOU                                                                 Jim
