Tv / vcr combo tape stuck?

is there a quick fix or this? its a combo tv.... and the tape is stuck in it it powers on and owers off..

Best fix is to get a TV tech who fixes TV sets to repair it.  You may get the tape out yourself but if the mechanism does not go into ejected mode (unloaded mode) then the TV/VCR combo will keep shutting off every time you try to turn it on.

Most likely the mode gear or its associated worm gear is out of its proper position.  You need to know how to put it back where it was.  And without prior experience you need to see another working unit to know how to put yours back into place.  This is why you should take it to a TV service tech.

You can try helping the tape out when you power up the tv. Use a screwdriver and gently pry it out from the sides. You will ruin the tape and I wouldn't continue to use the vcr unless its a tape you don't mind losing.

There is clearly a problem with this machine then.

It will always require power to electronicly eject a casette that is already in the machine.
