I recently moved the location of my tv into another room, however, to get it to go where i wanted to i had to use an extension cord. This extension is a multi-plug real type with a 3amp fused plug. While watching Sky sattelite TV both units turned off instantly. I presumed fuse, so i swapped it over. The Sattelite receiver turns on, as does the tv but there is no sound or picture. It has had a brand new tube fitted 8months ago or so. it simply wont power up from standby to on... it trys, but then flicks straight into standby again. Is there an internal fuse too that may have blown? the problem is that the 3amp fuse would've blown earlier than say a 15amp one so i cant see a power surge causing damage being an issue?
